Jack Archey asked:

With Thanksgiving just over a week away, the holiday season is nearly upon us. However, glad tidings appear to be in short supply at the North Pole. Representatives for Santa Claus and the world’s toy stores remain at an impasse after the latest round of contract negotiations.

If no agreement is reached, the delivery of toys to the world’s youth could be in serious jeopardy. Santa Claus expressed his appreciation for the children, but added that he has the right to demand what he feels he is worth. Furious that the toy stores offered him the same salary as the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus fumed, “What a joke! Kris Kringle does ten times the work as the Easter Bunny. So Kris Kringle’s gotta do what’s right for Kris Kringle!”

The toy stores counter that due to the expansion of online shopping, Santa Claus is not producing at the levels he once was. “Nobody appreciates what Santa has done more than we do,” commented Ebeneezer Grinch, counsel for the toy stores. “He’s an international treasure, and at his peak he was something to behold. But he’s clearly past his prime, and UPS and FedEx are doing lots of his work now. From an economic standpoint, paying him exorbitant dollars makes no sense.”

The relationship between Santa Claus and the toy stores has become increasingly contentious this year. First, the stores angered Santa by insisting on a dress code that would have outlawed his classic red suit and black boots. They relented after Santa Claus repeatedly objected, “No one makes SC wear a tie!” The stores opted not to push a similar policy outlawing facial hair.

What particularly irked Santa was the toy stores’ support of star reindeer Rudolph in his feud with St. Nick. The stores publicly denounced Santa’s statement that his team would be more successful if Brett Favre were leading the sleigh. Press conference rantings by Santa’s agent Drew Rosenhaus only exacerbated the acrimony.

The stores were also less than supportive as media rumors swirled about Santa’s physique. His lighter appearance this season coincided with the first year of the toy stores’ new drug testing procedures. While speculation raged about performance-enhancing substances, Santa Claus insisted that he ingested nothing stronger than milk and cookies left by excited children. His weight loss, he claimed, resulted from spinning classes at the new Gold’s Gym on the North Pole.

This issue only adds to the developments that have downgraded the once-beloved icon’s public image. Feminists have long condemned Santa’s trademark phrase, “Ho Ho Ho,” insisting that his generations of service give him no right to treat women as objects. St. Nick also enraged Arizona residents when he threatened to boycott the state during his infamous “We talkin’ ‘bout CACTUS!” rant.

Time is running out for Santa Claus and the toy stores to come to an agreement. If they fail to reach common ground, it’s the children who will suffer. If that happens, the kids will forget the true meaning of Christmas, instead viewing the sacred holiday as a mere celebration of the Messiah’s birth. And that will truly be sad.

Guadalupe

Remember when you were growing up, and each year you would write a letter to Santa. You would spend weeks thinking about what you wanted to write to Santa. Then you would spend hours writing the perfect letter. You would become so excited about sending it, that nothing would be the same until it was in the mail.

The day you put your letter in the mailbox you would not be able to sit still until you saw the mailman pick it up. You never knew if Santa received your letter until Christmas morning. The anticipation used to drive me crazy. I had always wished I would have received a personal letter from Santa. Any form of communication or acknowledgement that would have let me know whether he received my letter.

As a parent, you can just imagine the look on your child’s face if they were able to receive a personal letter from Santa. Especially since, these are memories that your child will always remember, always cherish and will stay with them for a lifetime. When your child receives a personalized letter in the mail, they will be thrilled just to receive something. Once, they realize that the letter is from Santa it will seem like something that is too good to be true. They will be extremely surprised to realize that Santa even knows their name. They will feel like a superstar! It will also be a priceless moment that any parent will treasure forever.

Nowadays, parents no longer have to take the time to write their own personal letter from Santa. Parents will no longer have to spend hours trying to make Santa’s signature look authentic, or going all over town to find just the right green ink, or trying to figure out how to get a postmark stamp from the North Pole. Thanks to modern technology, parents can now create a personal letter from Santa online. There are now websites dedicated to helping parents develop an authentic personalized letter from Santa for each boy and girl in your house that still believe in Santa Claus.

The letter will look like it was mailed directly from Santa’s workshop. Parent will also be able to include personalized information; such as eye color, hair color and best friend. You will be able to modify the letter to add in your own personal touches. Some of this information should be facts that only Santa would know. When your child believes in Santa, their entire goal is to make Santa’s list. Your child will do everything to make sure they make the nice list. Receiving a letter from Santa will help to validate your child’s efforts.

CJ Ticer is a publisher for Contact Santa Claus. Getting a personalized letter from Santa is something your child will never forget and great fun for the whole family!

Angie Stocklin asked:

Poor old Santa Claus. Sometimes he gets a bad rap. People say he doesn’t represent Christmas well. People say he doesn’t set a good example for Christians celebrating December 25. And people say—gasp!—that he doesn’t even exist. Plus, there are some folks out there who are trying to confuse just who Santa is. Is he really Saint Nicolas? Or is he some imposter, some big elf from the North Pole who wants to take credit for everything that Saint Nick has done and stands for.

Scary stuff, right? Well, if you are getting too upset by these anti-Santa ideas, perhaps you should stop reading this article now. It only gets worse the deeper you get into these anti-Santa theories.

Are you still with us? Good, because to preserve our image of Santa Claus—our jolly old man—we need to know why people are out to get him. Then, and only then, can we stop them from trashing the good name of the man in the red suit.

First off, these anti-Santa folks admit that Santa has some really great qualities. He’s always cheerful and happy. He always has fun games and gifts to give, and he is always generous (unless you were naughty, of course). But here is where these anti-Santa people stop with the compliments. You see, they say that Santa, with all his goodness, is only for children and not for grownups.

Worse yet, they say that Santa is only around these days to make money for giant Eastern shopping syndicates. He’s only here to make other people a buck. All that stuff about Santa giving gifts, and spreading good cheer, is all made up, they say. The real purpose of the man with the white beard and the red cap is to get us to consume, to spend money, to give gifts just like Santa does.

This is horrible anti-Santa stuff, right? Well, believe it or not, it gets worse. These anti-Santa folks go on to say that Santa can’t be believed because he flies around the globe in a sleigh. Obviously, the anti-Santa folks have no faith in Rudolph. And speaking of faith, the anti-Santa folks also say that Santa takes away from the real purpose of Christmas, which is to celebrate Baby Jesus.

You see, these anti-Santa folks say the real Saint Nicolas is better than Santa. He was an actual person, they say, who believed and practiced goodwill to all men, women, and children. He was kind and generous, and was a devout believer in Baby Jesus. And Santa isn’t real, they say?

Had enough? Me too. Here’s how you can know that these anti-Santa folks are way off base. What these anti-Santa folks don’t understand is that Santa and Saint Nick are one and the same. So you can’t say that Saint Nick is better than Santa, or that Santa is copying Saint Nick’s style. Saint Nick is Santa! Together, as one, they represent all that is good about Christmas, and all that we should practice every day, not just December 25.

So, please, anti-Santa bashers, please leave the big man alone. He’s never done anything but bring holiday cheer, love for humankind, and tons of fun.
